Color Field Paintings

Spaces For Perception

From January 22 to February 12, 2026, I present my color field works at the
Fine Art People Gallery in Hannover.

In this exhibition, I show color fields. Not as motifs and not as representations of objects, but as spaces for perception. My interest lies in what happens when color is allowed to stand on its own. When it does not explain or illustrate anything, but simply exists. Color becomes a carrier of mood and atmosphere. It draws the viewer inward and opens a space beyond the figurative.

The works are deliberately reduced. They are created through many layers, through time, and through a constant shift between closeness and distance. While painting, my focus is not on control, but on balance — between calm and tension, clarity and depth. Each work is an invitation to encounter color without predefined meaning. I understand the color field as a stage for perception. The works change with light, with the duration of viewing, and with the viewer’s own state of mind. What emerges is less an image and more an experience. This exhibition is an invitation to slow down and to look inward.
