29 Jun The Ultimate VW T1 Samba is finished
My friend Rainer has an extraordinary car museum with some of the most beautiful cars on earth. One day he told me about his plan to paint his Volkswagen T1 Samba with flowers to create the ultimate Hippie Car. I liked this idea so much that it caught me and I was contemplating, how to realize that. Then after a few weeks Rainer was showing me a fantastic small painting 30 cm x 40 cm from Marie Binder, who makes wonderful flower drawings and paintings. That was the solution! I photographed it and with a little magic I created a huge artwork which was able to fit the Samba. To surprise Rainer I made to versions. And the surprise worked 🙂 ..Very soon he decided to give his stunning Samba a new look. So we both together worked concentrated 3-4 days on the car to paste the foil perfectly.
